What Can I do For YOU??

We’re no strangers to providing professional clock repair services. In a lot of ways, watches and clocks are very similar. The both have mechanical and quartz versions. The mechanical variations are powered from a coiled spring, just like in a mechanical watch. There are pivots, wheels, pinions, springs, and several other similarities. In many ways, even the maintenance and repair process is the same. Just on a large scale, which you would think it would easier. Don’t get us wrong, it does make it easier to do a visual inspection. However, it can be just as tricky to diagnose and fix the issue on a clock as it is on a much smaller watch movement. Also, the other significant difference is the escapement. That is basically the transfer point in the mechanical movement where the motion from the spring and gear train is transferred in a way that it can interact and power the regulator. In watches the regulator is the balance wheel, in clocks it’s usually a pendulum. Clocks usually run at a much slower hertz than watches, which simply means the oscillation rate of the regulator is slower. Clocks can be very diverse and valuable, which requires a professional to ensure the clock is treated with the utmost care and attention.
